Look for MP3s of famous songs and you should be able to find those songs performed by not-so-famous bands/singers for free (legally).
I listened to some of those bands and sometimes I liked them better than the originals! |

Godspeed You Black Emperor! is an awesome band. I thought they were well known, but I could only find one other kid at my school who's heard of them.
I would suggest you buy a CD instead of downloading .MP3s because their songs are over 20 minutes long and for the best experiance you should listen to an entire disc at a time. I reccomend the double album "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven!".
Their songs start off slow and progress to sheer awesomeness. I've heard them described as "Pink Floyd without Roger Waters' histronic vocals" and I think that's a pretty good description. |
