CPU: Intel, only because they are the original. Slowly I'm starting to like AMD more
Chipset: Intel, since they make CPUs (The others are dandy too)
Video card: Like all of them equally
Sound card: Creative Labs
Fav System builder: IBM (if only they would give a reset button)
Least fav system builder: HP (seems like they assume that all their customers are newbies)
Everything else: Like all of them equally in general |

Video Card: nVidia GeForce
RAM: Who cares? Its all the same to me. Stupid SD-RAM
Sound: I don't care.

So Motorola is facing intense competition now in that field? |

Processors:
AMD has always carried me through, whereas my Intel machines usually seem to try and give me the proverbial digital middle finger. Don't know if this is the case overall, but I've definitely had better luck with AMD.
Video Cards:
NVIDIA’s TNT/TNT2 seems to be an excellent card, though their Geforce 2/4MX was crap. Voodoo was the worst $90 I ever spent.
Sound Cards:
I've never had a sound card that worked like I wanted it to... Creative seems fairly good, though.
External Wireless Connection Airport:
2WIRE seems to work well.
I've never really had bad or good experiences with any other hardware that I can remember brand name (though I've had a shitty keyboard and monitor apiece) so I can't really comment. *turns on n00b shield* |

| In most areas I don't have a real preferred company, but I like Maxtor HDs, LG optical drives, Creative sound cards and MAG monitors. |

| AFAIK, AMD does not make motherboards. The frontline for AMD processors is an nForce 2 board. |

| That would be Socket A. Most likely because the only company that makes socket A CPUs is AMD. There are a TON of diffrent Socket A Mobo makers. Mines ASUS, and I know Gigabyte, MSI, and nVidia also make them. There are a ton more. |
