For all of you interested in making games, check this page out (brought to you from the good folks at Game Hippo). I'm not sure how many (if any) are DOS, but I can vouch that RPG Maker 2000, ADRIFT, and GameMaker are all very good.

dont download RPG maker. It's too unstable. Every time you try to run a game that you made with it you get an error message and it freezes up your computer.
