The game I'm remembering is an obscure wave based spacey shooter from a while ago, maybe 2004 or even earlier. I downloaded it from some website I can't remember; definitely not RealArcade, ArcadeTown, or other common game websites of the time. You controlled a ship that I remember somewhat looking like a navy blueish Tie Destroyer. The mouse movement controlled the ship, and left click shot.

The camera was at an angle looking down on your ship, everything was a low poly (not stylized; standard poly count for the time) 3D model with metallic textures, and you were in a square transparent arena out in the middle of space. There were buildings/pipes on each border where little enemies popped out. Every 10 waves, a huge boss came out and it'd continue from there.
