Cheese-its & Rice!hehe

It looks like I found your particular system quarks.

I looked at my coding and found out what is most likely is.

Your system takes the alternate form of pixel display.

It uses the system default display instead of direct video display.

So I have to re-code a small section to get it to work for you.

It should take a day.

"Have no fear, The Resident Developer is here!haha"

Here is the version for the alternate display.

It should work for you qmonkey.

It uses an older system so it might be slow.

If it is slow you should be able to speed up the cycles in DOSBox.

Thanks for the feedback.

Your description of what was happening helped me to know the problem.

I lost 8 years of what I had accumulated in good reputation. It did set me back from him feeling proud of me.

Hmm, did you explain to your doctor that what you did was not illegal? (At least, to the best of my knowledge it shouldn't be - unless some of the programmes on that CD were OEM-specific versions not authorized for distribution?) Also you did that because you were genuinely trying to help a friend, that should actually speak in your favour.

I have to confess it has the explicit message "Do not make illegal copies". I normally don't get to do much for others because I am so poor being on welfare that I ignored the label and put myself at risk to help someone out. Besides, these appointments that I have really makes me rethink my priorities. I was thinking if it was my last day what would I want to do that I would not regret. So I decided to care for someone other than myself for once. Usually I am selfish and hoard every bit of money I have because I have so little. I remember sleeping on the parking lot of a church at night and I really do not want to do that ever again. So I get really selfish.

However, one thing I always remember is my real father's words. "You don't want to do anything you would regret. I regretted something I did in the past and I want to prevent you from doing the same!" - Nguyen Binh Thuy

That above quote is actually a rather good translation from Vietnamese.

Anyways, the point I am making is I am still happy that I helped someone out since when I die I will go to Heaven!

My real mother Huong Thi Vu would be happy as well however one thing she is sad about is that her own son put himself on the line for another.

This makes me think of all those who put themself on the line for me everyday. From the firefighters, to the police officers, to all the other people like my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy in the military!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I did is a little compared to others who faces great dangers everyday.

Thank you God that it works out for the best. No harm is done I just hate taking the drug test and such.

Cheese-its & Rice!hehe

Well, in this version I've made it a bit faster.

I've also changed the credits to make it standard.

So when you press Q it is the standard people.

I'm trying to make the DEMO more playable.

So expect future refinements until Ka Baam##^$#&#$^ hehe

I'm j/k of course hehe

I may only hope it is good enough.

Thank you for being with me for the last 10 months!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like promised.

Here is the heat seeking lasers hehe

If you have a real MS-DOS machine it might have to be on the slow mode.

However others have mentioned they like fast so DOSBox is needed 0.74.

So now that we have the main credits here is my work for this day.

Since MS-DOS is limited I have decided to make it shoot invisible fields.

Therefore when you press the G key it shoots at the other marble hehe

You can see the other marble's energy beams, but they can't see your's.

Cheese-its & Rice!hehe

Here I have edited the bitmaps in this game DEMO to rotate.

It is just for fun and I just wanted a turn.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/lknm5hsdeejjodx/animate.rar

P.S.
It does not do anything except make the soup container animate.

I'm sorry that it is not a game.

This is just to break the mood so I can relax a bit while still coding.

Here is the next Edition.
hehe

In this "Marble Madness" edition, "we" feature EnergyShield, and SplitMissiles.

While your shield is up your score is decreasing so be careful.

Also please note, when during your attacks your force field is NOT active.

Enjoy. hehe

This one is curious; my side, I think, is spotted 100 points. I like the burning flame effect... that's pretty cool looking.

The collision detection *looks* like it's testing the outer boundary of the images as opposed to the little + sprite or the edges of the round objects. For example, my side got hit despite the bottom of the object being just above the +. Similarly, my side attacked once, but the opposing side registered about 10 hits for the one shot.

The opposing side jumps around a bit; is it supposed to do that?

Those little green fonts are great! Legible, yet small.

Nice work... keep the updates coming. Happy

Hi, pseudocoder. Thank you for your much needed feedbacks. I often times wonder whether someone likes what I am producing. So your encouragements lets me know that at least one person seems curious to the updates.

Along the lines of being spotted 100 points, I figure I start a player out with enough points to power-up their shields that you can activate by pressing E. The shields take a certain amount of points to generate so decreases your points over time.

I cannot take credits for the drawing of the flames since it came with the Microsoft Manic Marbles drawings originally.

The collisions detections are extremely estimated at this point in time.

The attack should last for as long as you remain in one position.
When you move your weapons should stop shooting.

I originally had this version of Marble Madness jump around to avoid being hit by the attacks. Unfortunately it often jumps into the firing area hehe

A little trivia is that I never though the green fonts were any special. However they get the job done.

Thank you pseudocoder for the much needed feedbacks again, may Jesus reward you! At the very least you are in the credits screen when your press Q. hehe
