Hey guys this wasn't a dos game to my recollection,

i remember playing it on windows 95, so it was probably a early to mid 90's game

the main features were you had control of a "space" ship of sorts, top down view, you could fly around and the goal was to rescue all the downed pilots in the area, you collected them with your "tractor beam", there were both stationary turrets as enemies and also other "space" ships, also lots of power-ups, new weapons and such that i believe you also had to collect with your tractor beam.... level was finished once you had rescued all the pilots...

any help would be great as i cant remember its name, in memory the graphics weren't too bad... but that doesn't say much as all old games had good graphics back then.

thank you for your time.

it looked similar to this game type (THIS IS NOT A SCREEN SHOT FROM THE GAME)

however in the demo that i had it was mostly jungle levels

and you could fly in any direction on the map you wanted, up to the borders of the level of course.
i think the graphics actually looked better than that screen shot but i cant be sure as it was over 10 years ago.
i remember these round gas tank things and bunkers on the map that you could destroy also... sometimes there would be power ups and such inside... or had to be destroyed to open a gate to a different section of the map.

If you get +150 and no reply it simply means we don't know it....

BTW, edited your imgshack link so it's clickable now.

I can't help much but let me try.

Not sure what demo disk you had.
The only shooter game that I remember on the playable demo disk that I had was Firefight. It was the shareware that I love so much that I bought the full version that was released as Best Seller. However, in that game, it was to beam up fuel and not downed pilots. Other than that the other things like power-up, enemies etc are similar to your description. The "Space Ship" could rotate also 360 degrees.

Maybe by chance it could be that game. Shit-Eating Grin

If not, you could try searching here under games for 1991 and try categories like shooter or others as those games like Road Rash were Windows 95 games during the Year 1991.

Glad you finally found your game. Happy
Have fun with the game. I know that I enjoyed myself with it.

There were different missions in the game. At lower levels, it was beam up fuel. It could be at higher levels, that you beam up people. It's been too long ago that I can't remember some details. Tbbbbbth!
