Anyone have an opinion on this? I just received this email:

Quote:
Dear Sir,

Your website, dosgames.com, offers the game "Krypton Egg" for download at
the following location : http://www.dosgames.com/g_bnp.php

Our company, DotEmu, currently holds all the commercial rights for this
game. We have remake it and we are republishing it commercially for
PC-Windows, Flash, iPhone and Smartphones (you can even check it out at
www.kryptonegg.com !).
Therefore, we request that your remove the game from download from your
website (
http://www.dosgames.com/dl.php?filename=http://www.dosgames.com/files/kedos_1.zip
)

Best,
Romain Tisserand
Co-Founder & CTO
DotEmu SAS

We host the shareware version, me guess they think wrongly we offer the full game.
Maybe attend them to that fact?
It would be the first time ever that a site get problems proposing the shareware version.

I dunno. Maybe since they're remaking it they want even the shareware version to be on selected websites only. The game is pretty old to be remade but but hey who knows what goes on in the minds of giant corporations these troubled days lol.

Btw I didn't know you got knighted emmzee Tbbbbbth!

I emailed them back, and they were okay with keeping the shareware version on the site as long as I linked to their new site ...

http://dosgames.com/g_bnp.php

And included a little text file with the game. Happy So, good compromise.
