Two years...

Post by Dogbreath »

Well, as of today it has been 2 years since I started posting here at Dosgames.com back in 2001... Man, time goes fast... anyhow, it's been great to watch this site grow and develop a community… and have so few updates as well that you’d think Emmzee was dead from time to time. It's awesome that we have tons of new members, but also have some of the "oldbies" (if you can call them that) stuck around as well. And it's been fun to watch Dan (or Da_Goat, depending on which board you prefer) leave "forever" 3 times in a row. ;)

As a side note, May 1st was the 1-year posting anniversary for our member Jean! Congratulations to her as well!

(Emmzee: Just to let you know, it appears that someone is blocking the "ghetto" board and deneying access to anyone who wishes to look up old posts there)

Anyhoo... I'm going to see X-man 2 soon (as soon as my ride shows up) to celibrate this event.

Hey, it wasn't in a row!

X2 is awesome! I saw it yesterday. Definitely the best movie I've seen in a while (say, since LOTR: TTT), let alone the best comic book movie. One of the critics said that it's the best portrayal of a superhero since the Superman movie of the 70's. I don't think he's too far off, though I'm not a real X-Men comic book fan. X2 is so much better than the first one it's scary. And don't wait 'til it's on video. A movie like this deserves a huge screen.

I wanna see Terminator 3 or Dumb and Dumber 2. Although D&D 2 probably wont be as funny as the first.

It's Dumb and Dumberer, not Dumb and Dumber 2. Sheesh, don't mess up a creative name.

And, TD, it saddens me that you didn't list Matrix Reloaded :cry:

Terminator=worse than The Matrix

The Matrix isn't that good, but if you have the nerve enough to list Terminator, you have to list The Matrix.

I LOVED the Terminator. 1 and 2. Even though Arnold didnt have to do much Voice acting, it was still good.

That's great! Happy anniversary. I think I've been posting for about six months now. I've known about Dosgames.com for ages, but only six months ago did I find out there was an AWESOME forum here.

Drinks on the house! :D
"You believe me," I said gratefully.
"Of course I do," and he held out his hand. "I believe everything out of the common. The only thing to distrust is the normal."
