I've been trying to find this old game I used to play, but to no avail. Thought it was call aloneinthedark, but looked at some screens and it didn't look at all the same. It was a point and click 2d adventure/mystery. Go around click on things till you find a clue then use or add clues together to solve problems. In order to travel you have to click on the door or road or whatever was far in the direction. I remember travelling the streets and I think I started in a hotel or my apartment. It was kinda silly and at one point you used a balloon to get on to the roof of a bar or something and I couldn't find my way down.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

sounds more like Dare 2 Dream. Every Alone In The Dark game was 3D.

Dare 2 Dream: Inside Bouf's.
