Post subject: Applications Hang when running win16 games like microman |

| Im using two modified XP os,. one is modified version of AMIT_TALKIN and the other one is updated by SP3,. i can play the games using the version of amit_talkin while the sp3 one doesnt allow me to play,. the game opens then if i select one of the menus the application freezes and suddenly disappear,.. can anyone help me? |

Or set compability to W98 or such ....
.... or run it in VPC2007 with W98SE in it. |

Or DOSBox with Win3.1 running on it?

Yep, that works.
You can install/run W3.x in dosbox, runs fine.
But certainly don't mount your real C: as C in dosbox, or you gonna get a lot of crap in your windows directory ........ ahem, emmzee .... |

| is there any other way can i play the game without using any programs,.. uhm,. something like replacing the (command.com,.config.nt,dosx.exe,cmd.exe,), I tried replacing it with the files on pc where the game works but no luck at all,. the application still hangs.. is there other files to replce? |

What version did you try?
There are two, the old W3.1 and the newer W98 version.
The old one comes as micro1.zip, works fine directly in my XPs ànd in dosbox/W3.11:
As it's a full Wingame tempering around with the files you mention will not do any good. You simply miss some 16 bits DLLs or such .... better look in
\windows\system\ and-or \system32\ what you miss. But be carefull with those, don't screwup your OS. |
