Did I reply? What is a reply? What if we're all replies? What if nothing is a reply? What if YOU are the only member here and have 200 accounts to converse with yourself?

Alright, got my photos sorted and uploaded 31 of about 500...

If you have Facebook, click here and you can browse/comment on all my photos to your heart's desire.

If you don't have Facebook, I just upload an album to the dosgames.com server - http://www.dosgames.com/db/Iceland . I don't really feel like manually thumb nailing and commenting on every single one (Facebook does it automatically), but you're welcome to browse them and as any questions if you want to know more about a picture.

Might tell some stories about these pics in a few days.

In regard to strangebird.JPG:

That's what we, normal people, call "Anas platyrhynchos"

Also, I sure as hell hope you didn't go by your old ways and defile those goats...

Er, I made it a public album (I think), but you should go ahead and add me as a friend anyway. It works for me =/

Empty is a "geysir" (what they call really big geysers, pronounced "gay sir", he he he), right after it errupted. The force is so strong it actually makes the blow hole empty, creating that hole in the ground look. It's pretty weird to watch all the water flow upstream out of it...

It's definitely not a Mallard. Look at it again, it's got fucked up feet and looks completely different.

Alright, I've got some time tol do a brief commentary on the photos.

Fridmey Svensdottir

This lady picked me up off the side of the road as I was hitch hiking and spent 5 hours showing me around Reykjavik, then gave me her friend's bike for the week, and bought me a case of beer. Icelanders are pretty friendly... or just get really really bored.

The Geysir

Largest geyser in Iceland, I was a little disappointed, actually. Not too much fun just standing there, watching Iceland ejaculate.

A Sicilian couple

Met these two on the road, hung out with them for a day. He's a graphic designer, she's a musician.

Me in my tent

Can't really see it, but I have the makings of a light beard, after 2 weeks. Mostly on my chin, though.

Blue Water

The water there is really the color of water in video games. Very strange.

Bonus

This is where I did all my shopping. Food in Iceland is ridiculously expensive, but they weren't too bad.

Žingvellir

The closest I was allowed to get to Žingvellir, the gap between the American and European tectonic plates.

A church on the water

Just a cool pic.

Drowning Hole

They used to drown people here for such things as incest and witchcraft. There's a stone nearby with the names of everyone who was drowned carved into it - a little morbid.

ducks

The very white and blond locals feeding bread to ducks, swans, and fucked up little birds.

Empty Geysir

The Geysir after erupting.

Gullfoss

This is the Gullfoss, "Great Falls".

Goats

I brought some of these back for Larry.

some pub

The streets there are really that slanted.

Hydrogen Fuel Station

The cars there run on liquid hydrogen instead of gasoline/petrol. Why don't they do this everywhere?

Leifur Eriksson

The dude who sailed to Newfoundland in the year 1000. He hated it just as much as everyone else, mostly because he couldn't understand the natives. (friggin newfies)

luch site

I stopped and ate lunch here one day. Nice view.

Lupia

These grow all over the place in Iceland.

Me

That's me.

Some mountain

I took this a little after midnight... the sun never really sets there.

Some hill

Just looks rugged.

My pack

This is what I carried for 2 weeks. Had my tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, hiking poles, water, food, clothes, etc.

Pancakes

They sell pancakes in packages there... =/

Pretty Shot

Not really related to my trip except that I took it in Iceland. Looks kinda nice and Thomas Kincady.

Sigur Ros

The band Sigur Ros put on a free show in Reykjavik while I was there. I've been fans of theirs for a couple years, so it was pretty cool.

Strange Bird

The spawn of Satan.

A swan

I think it is, anyway. First time I ever saw one.

Church

Tallest building in Iceland.

My Tent

Was tired that night so I didn't stake it. This was taken around 12:30 AM.

Violin

Sigur Ros forgot their violins, so they improvise...

The Gullfoss (again)

Just a really cool shot, IMO.

I'm pretty sure the strange bird looks exactly like the geese we have here.
Warranted i haven't seen a goose in a couple of weeks and i've never really looked at one THAT intently.
Your trip looks like it was loads of fun. Happy

They're probably a European bird species, then.

FWIW, this is what geese look like here:

They're called "Canada Geese" actually, but they're the only species of goose here in Indiana. (And we have literally millions of them... apparently they migrate here and back to Canada every year. Everyone hates them, but it's illegal to kill them for some reason)

Your Iceland thing with feathers can also be a hybrid domestic/wild goose.
Or whatever.

There even exist so called swan geese over here, ugly bitches, but yummie yummie.

We also have so called 'barberie' ducks:

Weird ducks, no idea what kind of hybrid they are.
Breeded on farms, plenty of them, yummie@Christmas.

They may be so weird as they want, aslong they're yummie, I don't care.
Laughing

BTW, such drowning hole isn't uncommon over here in Europ, was a usual test in medieval times.
If they float, burn them, if they sunk and drown, now yeah, they go to heaven.
And the populace had some fun.
