Trying to get The Dig to work

I found an old CD-Rom game today called The Dig. I have Vista, so I read the Sticky and got DosBox. When I open up the game, every time I click "Play the Dig" it says I have to configure the sound card. So I click "Configure the Sound Card" and it just reloads the title screen. Now whenever I click something it just says "One Moment Please" and loads the title screen again. Any ideas?? Thanks

Dosbox version?
