[Stricty a personal opinion]
Gaming and laptop doesn't match.
Keyboard sucks.
Performance sucks.
Mouse sucks.
Need extra HD? -> external-> slow.
Mostly OEM OS with all kind of weird sysfiles.
Recovery CD -> sucks.
etcetera .....
[/strictly a personal opinion]
For $1500 you can get an really powerfull desktop PC.
But yeah, as I said, that's a personal opinion.
And I don't like laptops. I only use one of those if I really can't access a desktop PC. (Happens very rarely). |

I mostly agree with dosraider ... do you plan to carry your laptop around with you a lot? If not, you'd be better off buying a desktop PC. And if you DO plan to carry around your laptop with you a lot you won't want to buy a gaming laptop either. Dell's current laptop in their "gaming laptops" line starts at 10.6 lbs (4.81 kg) ... which is about double the weight that's reasonable to carry with you.
As for the two options you've cited, the Dell One doesn't seem to be a laptop at all ... it looks like an integrated desktop PC ...

The Sony CR is not a gaming laptop. It even says in the tech specs "Type of Use: Thin-and-light" and the graphics chip is "Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100" which isn't horrible but certainly isn't made for gaming.
You'd probably be better off going to the NotebookReview.com forums, they have a forum set up called "What Notebook Should I Buy?" where you post what you're looking for and people will respond with suggestions ...
