i have dosbox v 7.2 and i cant get tyrian's sound up also anyone know how to get the setup menu up because im new at this and clueless... im using vista and can run the demo v of tyrian fine with sound...

Run dosbox, in the game folder, run setup

-> highlight: music <enter>, highlight: FM Music <enter>
-> highlight: sound effects <enter>, highlight: soundblaster -> DMA1 <enter>

How to run setup in the first place?
I mean what to type exactly.

Exactly as it's written.
In dosbox.
In the game's folder.
That's the Tyrian folder.

for me it dosnt work :'(
this is how it went
Z:\>mount c c:\oldgames\
Drive C is mounted as local directory c:\oldgames\

Z:\>cd tyrian
Unable tomchange to:tyrian.

C:\>tyrian>setup
Illegal command: tyrian>setup.

To start the game i write
mount c c:\oldgames\tyrian2k
c:
tyrian

"Game starts"

I tried

mount c c:\oldgames\tyrian2k
c:

tyrian\setup
illegal command

or tyrian>setup
wth this the game starts but no setup just normal start

I'm sorry fo the missunderstanding, I only named my folder Tyrian2k because another guy on youtube had a step on step and in his instructions it said Tyrian2k so i just followed.
The Tyrian i have is the one from this site!

Start from scratch then, delete the old one.
Unzip again to c:\oldgames\tyrian\

Your lines in dosbox to setup:

mount c c:\oldgames
c:
cd tyrian
setup

To run afterwards:

mount c c:\oldgames
c:
cd tyrian
tyrian

Shareware version I thought, Tyrian2000 is a remake and thus the full game.
You'll find T2K on Abandonia.

FWIW, T2K is now freeware, and legal to download. Also, it works somewhat better with dosbox, has better graphics, and more levels.
