Hiyas. I was going thru the raw access logs today and figured I'd make a list of the top 20 most downloaded games from DOSGames.com's own server. So this list only includes locally hosted .zip files, which still includes over half of all the games on the site, but explains why some of the big games like Doom and Duke Nukem 3D are missing from the list.

Here ya go: (Listed in order of total # of downloads in Oct 2007)

1) Teen Agent - 1,230 (= over 1gb of dls!)
2) Mario VGA - 1,024
3) Commander Keen: Keen Dreams - 662
4) Scorched Earth - 655
5) 3-Demon - 597
6) Assault Trooper - 593
7) Duck Hunt - 531
8) tie: Commander Keen: Aliens Ate My Baby Sitter! (demo) - 530
8) tie: Prince of Persia 2 (demo) - 530
10) Alleycat - 517
11) Abmis the Lion - 475
12) Chex Quest - 435 (= over 1.5gb of dls!)
13) Jazz Jackrabbit - 425
14) Lemmings (demo) - 416
15) Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (demo) - 412
16) Red Baron - 411
17) Aldo's Adventure - 365
18) CD-Man - 359
19) Theme Park (demo) - 353
20) Gobman - 345

Annnnnd ... the least downloaded game (well, as far as AWStats counts, anyways, cuz once you get down far enough it lumps the really lowly accessed files in an "Other" category) is Schmootris with 16 downloads. Happy

So, uh, there you have it, I guess. I have some new games that I'm hopefully going to add sometime soon as well.

You should write a script to take those stats and create another 2 pages, one for top dl'd games and one for least dl'd games.
