There's basically two routes:
1) Learn a programming language. This is not something you can do in a day, or even in many days. It takes a long time and a lot of work. So, if you've never done any programming before, you'll probably want to try option 2 ...
2) Use a game creation tool. Probably GameMaker is what you're looking for, or you can browse the huge list of game creation systems. |

You can also create whole new DD levels.
For that you need of course a level editor.
You can find it @ Romero's home site:
http://www.rome.ro/games_ddici.htm
Download "DANGEROUS DAVE IN COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT" , run it in dosbox, (unzip it first *LOL*).
TED (the level editor) is included.
Works pretty good. |
